CT Scan

Computed Tomography (CT) imaging, also known as “CAT scanning” (Computed Axial Tomography), provides images of soft tissue, blood vessels and bone.

During this exam, a series of x-ray images taken from different angles are combined to create images of internal structures with greater clarity than conventional x-ray. The study may be done by injecting a substance into the vein (contrast) to highlight different organs in the body.
